This Week's Upcoming Game
We are expecting to be having a short game night this Friday night. Scott and Min are teaching until 5:00 in Castile and then are attending a Bible study in Caledonia that is expected to go until near 9:00. We will try to begin the game as soon as we are able to return to the house. So, plan for 9:30 or so to begin playing. Anyone who can play via VPN will help us out greatly.
We will probably only play one game or two at most.

16 April Pick Up Games #2 & #3
Saturday evening, Scott and Min played two pick up games over at Art and Danielle's house. Usually teams: Scott and Danielle vs. Art and Min.
Scott managed to pull off two consecutive rushes against Art, the second one using the Mongols, making for two quick games.

Pick Up Game at the Ralstons
Jeremy went over to Art and Danielle's today and played a one on one on one pick up game this afternoon. Art managed to completely dominate the game. I will let Art and Jeremy fill you in on the details in the comments.

Great game tonight. Art and Danielle played over the IPSec VPN and that worked really well. Jeremy came over to the house and played from the basement. We only got one game in tonight but it was a really good one - very well matched. Art, Andy and Min played the Byzantines, Vikings and the Mayans against Scott, Jeremy and Danielle playing the Saracens, Franks and Chinese. It was a really well matched game and went on for quite a while. In the end, the Scott | Jeremy | Danielle team pulled ahead and eventually won.

Art Orders VPN Accelerator
Art ordered our standard Netgear FWG14P firewall and VPN solution today that he is going to use to create a VPN connection over to the house so that anyone playing over there will be able to play against anyone over here. That gives us two completely independant gaming locations on any given game night in addition to Josh playing over a single machine VPN connection.
Art is already using his Time Warner Road Runner connection and we are hopeful that that line will be able to support three or four remote AoE2 players adequately.

Art Screwed with DSL - Goes with Roadrunner
Art and Danielle ordered their DSL after getting a call from Frontier saying that DSL had been extended to their area. After waiting a week and getting a runaround about why the DSL equipment was taking so long, Frontier finally admitted that there was no DSL service in the area and that they hadn't shipped the equipment and they just weren't going to tell them.
So, they ordered Time Warner Roadrunner service and had it up and running in 24 hours. They are already online.
